Volunteers to Hold Soldiers Benefit

Volunteers will hold A Soldier's Salute: Dine and Bid for the 141st Engineer Combat Battalion benefit beginning at 5:30 p.m. September 18th in the Fargo Civic Memorial Auditorium.

The benefit will include a silent auction, dinner, program, raffle and live auction.  Raffle and auction items included have been donated by area businesses.  Profits from the night will allow the soldiers' families to purchase items including phone cards, postage and gifts.

The 141 Engineer Combat Battalion consists of about 475 soldiers from across North Dakota.  The battalion is currently serving in Iraq.

Governor John Hoven, Senator Bryon Dorgan and Representative Earl Pomeroy will address the audience.

Tickets are available for $15.00 at all Fargo-Moorhead Hornbacher's.  Tickets will also be available at Jamestown's County Market and Valley City's Marketplace Foods.
