Members present: Wally Lueck, Marlyn Wegge, Orlyen Stensgard, Hank Deyle, Bob Lechner, Bob Krause, Dave Johnston

Meeting called to order by Hank Deyle - President.

Bob Lechner: Has tickets for the 40-8 and motion by Bob Krause and second by Marlin Wegge to purchase a book for $100. Motion passed.

Bob Krause: Been very busy—over 20,000 miles on the car so far. New State Adjutant is Dave Johnson and is glad to have him on board. Memberships are down and slow in coming in. Post 2 still seems to have problem getting the membership list and payment into the state office. We are not alone as there are a number of other Posts that are behind. Meeting quota only applies when the State Office has submitted the numbers. The concerns for Post 2 are a matter that the Past Commanders needs to look into.

Orlyen Stensgard - questions about gaming—plans are to have gaming by January 2012. Larry Jacobson is the new Gaming Manager and they are hiring a new gaming secretary—all need to have training before we can get the license. They have had six applicants for the Gaming secretary’s position.
Also asked about the newsletter that was to be out before Veterans Day. Many Post 2 members ask him when the Legion is going to open!!!

Dave Johnston: Commander Cathy informed me that the ingredients for the stew are being picked up and we need volunteers to prepare the food on Thursday at 1:00 PM. We have 50# of meat donated and need to purchase another 50#. Larry Jacobson will prepare the stew and Auxiliary will serve and will need help.
The Commanders Plaque needs to be updated. Bob Lechner will update the Plaque and will notify of the cost. The Plaque is in the Conference Room.

Hank Deyle –There will be bar food this month per the last report. The Pickled Parrot ill open at 11:00 AM on Veterans Day and there will be stew served. The Veterans Valley Concert Band will perform at Post 2 at noon. Legion Baseball Pancake feed will be December 3, 2011 from 8 AM to 10:30 AM at the Applebee’s store 2800 13th Ave South Fargo. Tickets are $5 and available from Hank or Bob.
Hall of Fame Banquet will be January 30, 2012 at the Holiday Inn in Fargo. Tickets are $100 and plans to sell 300 tickets. Ferguson Jenkins will be the speaker—former pitcher for the Cubs.
Veterans Day will have the parade beginning north of the Legion and end at the Veterans Memorial Civic Center with ceremony at 11:00 AM
