40 & 8 Voiture 240 of the Fargo American Legion is once again teaching our communities youth about the American Flag.  The Voiture visits every elementary school in the Fargo/West Fargo area, about 25 of them, makes a presentation about the U.S. Flag and presents each 1st grader with their own flag to take home.  Over 1,700 1st graders in our community will learn about the flag and will receive their own flag in February, 2006.

Don Schwinden, Grand Chef de Gare du North Dakota, led the presentation with a brief explanation of how the flag came into being.  He asked the 1st graders some questions and they had some questions for Don.  These pictures were taken at L.E. Berger elementary school in West Fargo on February 13th, 2006.  Assisting Don were voyageurs Bob Lechner, Will Hebert and Dave Rice.
