Guest speakers, Bob Stewart, Homeless Veterans, Keith Gilleshamer from
Centre Inc. New property at 201 15th St. N, FGO,
Didn’t have minutes of last meeting
Treasures Report, Bob long reported we have $5778.75
Payment of Bills- Theater
Travel to Bismarck and St. Paul, The group voted to pay gas expense to
Bismark and St. Paul for testifying
Old Business
Memorial Day Parade, Chaplin LCDR Cheney
Holy Cross (new) cemetery
Who is going to put out flag on graves? Fargo Legion will do flags on
Riverside, VFW on Sunset.
Bridge Name,
Resolution, Meeting with County Commissioners
ND State Senator John Syverson, Mn Laning and Marquart
Bridge Signs design, plaza on Mhd side. Discussed possible designs and
the marker on the Moorhead side.
Names of Color Guard Commanders or Leaders, Fargo Legion reported
Gebkey is the color guard commander for the following year.
Roabalo they have met and are thinking of late spring or early summer.
We will have an Admiral in on the first of May.
Mayors Veterans Committee members and Vote, The attached members were
approved to be submitted the the Mayors of Fargo and Moorhead. Cdr
Haapala will check with West Fargo Mayor.
New Business
Official mailing address, discussed the possibility of the having a
post office box, but concerns came up about the gaming license.
Buckingham and Woods will check with Terry Leahr about the leagal
points.
Operation Yankee Doodle and USO show, ticket are for sale $10.00,
money is coming in for the program
Charitable license from the state, Cdr Lopez will check the Minnesota
laws
Homeless Veterans
County Commissioners meeting on April 12, concern was brought up that
Clay county is not supporting veterans as well as they should,
Commanders will try to attend meeting on the 12th with Commisioners.
MN Legislatures concern for returning war Veterans, we will bring
these concern to the Commission meeting
Next meeting, time and place will be West Fargo VFW at 6:30 April 25th
