Following the Pledge of Allegiance, the meeting was called to order
by Commander Richardson at 1900.
Present were: Terry Richardson, Larry Nicholson, Wayne Wermager, Jim
Haukedahl, , Mark Wagemann, Ed Kania, Tim Haugen, Jason Hicks, Ed
Milligan, Dave Rice, Bob Long.
Motion to accept September 27, 2010 minutes, was made by Mark
Wagemann, 2nd by Larry Nicholson. Motion carried.
Treasures report given by Robert Long is as follows: Special account
is $1,059.88 and regular account is 3,829.03. The bill to repair the
signs on Veterans Bridge was paid,
Veterans Day activities are as follows:
0930 form up on the Veterans Memorial Bridge for a short ceremony at
0945
1030 form up at old GN Depot for parade to Veterans (civic)
Auditorium for Flag rising at 1100 & fly over.
Dilworth VFW will have stew at 1600 til gone afternoon activities at
1400 program at Eventide
Moorhead Legion will have stew at 1100with RRV concert band at 3pm.
Fargo Legion will have stew 1100 to 1500; band will play during meal
with program at 1300
AMVETS will have SOS after program at Civic.
Fargo VFW will have stew at noon.
West Fargo VFW will have Flag rising at 11am with stew at 4pm
followed by Concert Band.
On November 11, Organization will form up on the Veterans Memorial
Bridge at 9:45am for a short program. Fargo groups will form up at
the old Great Northern Depot to march to the Veterans auditorium.
Moorhead groups will have their own programs.
Speaker was not available at meeting time. Chaplin will be Wayne
Wermager. MC is to be Ralph Wallman.
Email sent out on Saturday, October 30, 2010, by Commander
Richardson, stated that an MC is needed as Wallman is sick. The
speaker will be Tom and Launette Figliuzzi. They are the County
service officers from Clay and Cass Counties.
Election of officers was held with the following people being
elected to their office’s:
Commander: Terry Richardson
Vice Commander: Wayne Wermager
Treasurer: Dave Rice
Secretary: Jim Haukedahl
The next scheduled meeting will be January 24, 2011 at 7pm. Meeting
place will be at West Fargo FW at 7pm. .
Motion to adjourn was made by Larry Nicholson. 2nd by Mark Wagemann.
